I Will Love You as My Own covers songs I through K and contains another great jazzy song, the title track. Some more country songs appear on this record: I Will Never Forget You and I've Got a Hankerin' for Loving Mary Jane. That one is a long, ballady-folk type song that is almost like a short story. You'll find a couple of novelty tunes here as well: Just Me, the Birds, and the Trees, which has a tropical island flare; and Kathleen Becomes Catarina, written for my sister who loves Italy. There's a blues number called I've Got the Missin' You Blues; and a slow, meditative song called Kindness, Don't Be a Stranger. This album covers many genres: country, pop, Caribbean, Mediterranean, and more!
